Acme United Corporation (NYSE American: ACU) today announced that it has acquired the assets of Med-Nap LLC., a leading manufacturer of alcohol prep pads, alcohol wipes, benzalkonium chloride wipes (BZK), antiseptic wipes, castile soap, and lens cleaning products.

Med-Nap has estimated revenues in 2020 of approximately $4.9 million and EBITDA of approximately $1.0 million. The purchase price was not disclosed. The acquisition is expected to be accretive commencing in the first quarter of 2021. The company, based in Brooksville, Florida, was founded in 2007 and employs 25 people.

Acme United Corporation (NYSE American: ACU) today announced that net sales for the quarter ended June 30, 2020 were $44.0 million compared to $40.2 million in the second quarter of 2019, an increase of 9%. Net sales for the six months ended June 30, 2020 were $79.8 million, compared to $71.6 million in the same period in 2019, an increase of 11%.

Acme United’s second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2020 revenues included approximately $1.1 million and $2.1 million, respectively, from the sales of First Aid Central products.  The Company acquired the assets of Canadian-based First Aid Central, Inc. on January 7, 2020.

Net income was $3,199,000 or $0.92 per diluted share for the quarter ended June 30, 2020 compared to $2,672,000, or $0.77 per diluted share, for the comparable period last year, an increase of 20% in net income and 19% in diluted earnings per share.  Net income for the six months ended June 30, 2020 was $4,476,000, or $1.28 per diluted share, compared to $3,478,000, or $1.01 per diluted share, in last year’s same period, increases of 29% and 27%, respectively

FAIRFIELD, Conn., April 17, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Acme United Corporation (NYSE American: ACU) today announced that net sales for the quarter ended March 31, 2020 were $35.8 million compared to $31.4 million in the first quarter of 2019, an increase of 14%.

Acme United’s first quarter 2020 revenues included approximately $1.0 million from the sales of First Aid Central products.  The Company acquired the assets of Canadian-based First Aid Central, Inc. on January 7, 2020.

Net income was $1,277,000 or $0.36 per diluted share for the quarter ended March 31, 2020 compared to $807,000, or $0.24 per diluted share, for the comparable period last year, an increase of 58% in net income and 50% in diluted earnings per share.

FAIRFIELD, Conn., Feb. 27, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Acme United Corporation (NYSE American: ACU) today announced that net sales for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2019 were $33.9 million, compared to $31.1 million in the comparable period of 2018, an increase of 9%. Net sales for the year ended December 31, 2019 were $142.5 million, compared to $137.3 million in 2018, an increase of 4%.

Net income for the quarter ended December 31, 2019 was $977,000, or $0.28 per diluted share, compared to $591,000, or $0.17 per diluted share, an increase of 65% for both net income and earnings per share.  Net income for the year ended December 31, 2019 was $5.5 million, or $1.60 per diluted share, compared to $4.6 million, or $1.30 per diluted share in 2018, increases of 20% and 23%, respectively.

Acme United Corporation today announced that its Canadian subsidiary has acquired the assets of First Aid Central, a Canadian first aid and safety supplier. The company had revenues in 2019 of approximately C$4.3 million. The purchase price was not disclosed. The acquisition is expected to be accretive during 2020.
